The moulin in the middle of its restoration27 June 2009
On Saturday afternoon the newly restored windmill that overlooks the town of Bléré was inaugurated. Five years ago the mill was in sad shape – its ruins overrun by brambles. The work cost 330,000€ with help from government and regional funds. The moulin is on the Route du Loches before you reach the Bléré by-pass.

‘Il y a 5 ans, Régis Chauvel, aujourd'hui 1er adjoint à la municipalité de Bléré, président de l'Association des amis du moulin mais aussi appelé meunier chef, avait lancé l'idée de réhabiliter le moulin cavier de Bléré qui n'était alors qu'une simple ruine enfouie dans les ronces à laquelle plus personne ne portait intérêt. Un pari difficile demandant des travaux d'Hercule. Samedi après-midi, l'inauguration du moulin restauré était donc un grand moment pour le président de l'association qui en rappelait le travail et les efforts fournis :’
