Jim's Loire wins Wine Blog Trophy

We were delighted and surprised to learn late yesterday that Jim's Loire has won the journalist's category of Wine Blog Trophy organised by the Salon des Vins de Loire.

'Nous avons l’honneur de vous annoncer que vous êtes le gagnant de la 3ème édition du concours Wine Blog Trophy dans la catégorie « Meilleur Blog journaliste ».'

The message was sent on Friday but because I have been busy traveling out to the Loire and now making visits I didn't pick up the good news until late last night.

The winners of the other two categories are:

Professionnel du Vin: Julien Pichoff and Damien Bonnabel – Findawine,

Vigneron / négoce des Vins de Loire: Margaux – XNoir.

Off this morning to the Renaissance des Appellations – very likely to be a decidedly mixed bag as usual.

As they say here: 'Prosit'!
Let me know when you are in these parts of the woods again, so we raise a glass (or two) together...

Congratulations - well deserved for a blog that nicely (in traditional meaning) captures elements of expertise and personal experience (and enjoyable pics),

Congratulations, Jim - proper order. I wish I had more time to read and comment, and I certainly wish I could have found a way to come to Angers this year. Still, the Loire wines we bring in are a way of keeping in touch.
