  1. Jim, thanks for the pics! BTW, did you hear anything about why CRB is thinking of downsizing? I saw a report on wineterroirs and was a bit puzzled as to why.

    Many thanks for the message.

    Catherine and Didier are now in their 50s with no obvious successor to take over. They have already reduced their vineyard from some 40 ha to 25 ha at present I think. Some time ago they sold off vines near Thesée on the other side of the Cher. They are now I understand considering downsizing further.

    It's a shame because they have been a beacon and inspiration in the Cher Valley but I entirely understand why they are considering cutting back.

    Some of the vines were bought by a Japanese woman, who certainly had the same philosophy as Didier was advising her. All the grapes were destemmed by hand. This was some time ago and I don't know what is happening there now. I ought to find out.
