I needed a “good” reason. Hence: say hello to Bernard Sirot, a very likeable fellow and wine connoisseur. I like him.
And now, the real cause. I have tasted three wines from Nathalie & Christian Chaussard (F-72340, Marçon) in Belgium last week. The first I loved: “You are so happy” a fizz blended from chenin blanc and sauvignon, with very fine bubbles and a hint of yeast: DE-LI-CIOUS. The second I found “interesting”: Kharacter is the name and it is supposed to be chenin blanc. My table mates couldn’t cope with it (quite oxidative) but it had a lot of personality and I loved the finish. The nose was not to my taste though. Finally, “You are so beautiful”, a pinot noir with a nose of grenade syrup and of cider, an oily mouthfeel and a very dilute finish. The three of them were clearly “vins d’auteur” and I appreciate the effort, and the first was really superb.
Do you know that estate? Are you going to post them soon?Luc Charliernoreply@blogger.com
