We drove more than 3.000 miles from Kingston Upon Hull (Ferry landing when you cross the Channel from Zeebrugge) to Thurso (via all you can imagine in-between) and then Durness, going “down” again via Inverness-Fort William and indeed Mull, Kintyre, Arran ... Did not see one drop of rain, I swear by John Knox (Now, that’s an oath!).
What is the value of such a “hunting story” (casuistics in correct language) ? None.
But it means sometimes the weather is fantastic indeed in that most dramatic of all scenic countries: Scotland!Luc Charlierhttp://coumemajou.jimdo.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-456611623448834500.post-84156068832203677172011-08-11T13:58:42.313+01:002011-08-11T13:58:42.313+01:00Had a holiday touring the west coast [not camping!...Had a holiday touring the west coast [not camping!!] to Ullapool and beyond before heading south to Inverness when weather gods smiled; lots of blue skies.Niall & Antoinettehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12699304108340257145noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-456611623448834500.post-8636517118551605282011-08-11T13:53:06.406+01:002011-08-11T13:53:06.406+01:00Jean. I agree camping is now a no-no, especially in Scotland.

Still back to France very soon.Jim's Loirehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06696024920441263899noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-456611623448834500.post-55368493616392605872011-08-11T13:38:53.012+01:002011-08-11T13:38:53.012+01:00The first picture is amazing - such a lovely "...The first picture is amazing - such a lovely "old" cottage - but the other pictures remind me why I now take my holidays in France.
Maybe one year I will be brave enough to sacrifice my precious holidays to try again - but definitely no more camping !!Jeanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09726164724131916224noreply@blogger.com
