Born Digital Awards: Circle of Wine of Wine Writers now a partner

The Circle of Wine Writers (CWW) is delighted to announce that it is now a partner of the Born Digital Awards. From the 2011 edition the Circle will be offering the winners in each category (with the exception of the Winery category) free membership of the CWW for the year following the award*. The CWW will also assist in finding judges for the awards, which are open to entries in all languages.

The CWW is also involved in the Louis Roederer International Wine Writers Awards and the Young Wine Writer of the Year Award.

The CWW was founded in 1960 by the late Cyril Ray and now has some 280 members from around the world. The current president is Steven Spurrier and Janis Robinson MW and Rosemary George MW are the vice-presidents with Stuart Walton the chairman.

The CWW welcomes membership applications from bloggers, who make regular blog posts. Membership is open to writers, broadcasters, photographers and lecturers.

* Continued membership thereafter would be on the same basis as for all other members, who are required to show each year that they are still communicating about wine.

Thanks Per and Brett – I prefer to see it as a question of evolution.
