Quernons d'Ardoise

As western Anjou is famous for its slate (ardoise) it is appropriate that its slate has inspired an Angevin confectionary speciality – Quernons d'Ardoise.  Covered in blue chocoalte with a crunchy nougatine and almond interior as the website explains:

Sounds delicious. The world definitely needs more blue chocolate.

They are indeed delicious. I know one Brissac producer who is addicted to them. The company has two shops in Angers so on your next visit you could buy some to try.
